This blend will truly make steak better than you have ever dreamed possible! Mix with brown sugar to use as a rub for smoking meats. Even makes amazing garlic bread. Grilled Summer Squash With Bell Peppers And Onions

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1-2 Tbsp American Bounty Seasoning Blend
  • 3-4 organic summer squash, sliced in 1/4's
  • 3 organic bell peppers, halved and seeded
  • 2 large onions, peeled and sliced in 1/2" thick slices
  • 4-6 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 lemon, juiced

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Wash your squash to make sure it's clean. Cut the squash in half, then cut each half in half so it is cut into quarters. Place on a plate and drizzle with some olive oil, then sprinkle on the American Bounty Seasoning Blend.
  • Cut your bell peppers in half then remove the seeds. Next, you need to cut the top and bottom off your onion, then peel the outer skin off. Take your knife and cut the onion into 1/2 slices on the round. You want to keep the onion together when grilling so cutting it nice and thick helps. Drizzle the peppers and onions with some olive oil then sprinkle on more of the American Bounty Seasoning Blend.
  • Make sure your grill is nice and hot and that the grill itself is really hot. Place all your veggies on the grill and cook for 7 minutes or so per side - depending on how hot the coals are or how high the gas is turned up . Keep and eye on them. Slightly charred adds flavor - burned not so much! Remove the veggies from the grill and chop them immediately. Place in a large bowl, drizzle a bit more of the olive oil over them, squeeze some fresh lemon juice then taste. If you want to add a bit more American Bounty Seasoning Blend, now is the time to add a pinch or two more. 
  • Serve immediately or chill completely to serve as a cold side dish! Enjoy.
